What made you decide to become a writer?
I think it was always in there but my wife helped me discover the writer within when one night she was suffering from a terrible headache and asked me to come up with a story, and that is how “The Jungle Adventure of Chimpoo,” was born.
Are the things that happen in your books things that happened to you?
Yes and No. I believe my stories do reflect who I am but not directly, I think.
What is your favorite thing about writing?
The idea and thinking about the possibilities. It’s quite an exciting process.
Were you a daydreamer as a kid?
Yes and I still do, when I’m not writing or reading. In fact, not related here but since we are in the mood for dreaming, I’d like to share here that one of my upcoming stories is from one of my dreams.
What dreams do you have for the future?
Have one of my books made into a movie.
Have you ever gotten a writer’s block?
Yes! The last one lasted a whole six months.
If you could say anything to children, what would it be?
Follow your dreams.
